African orphans and orphanages, African kids without hope because of HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases.  The problem is increased because of the extreme poverty and hunger in many African countries.  In some African countries the average age is 16 years old because so many adults are dying of HIV/AIDS in Africa.  There are many orphanages in Africa but there is a great need for more and better equipped orphanages.  Hearts 4 Africa is a website that has many good links to organizations that are helping African orphans. Hearth to Hearth Ministries is run by volunteers in America that work to find sponsors to help as many orphans, left by HIV/AIDS in Africa, and widow's families as possible.  Hearth to Hearth Ministries runs three orphanages in Kenya.  The largest of the orphanages in Kenya being Hope for Children Center.  We operate two orphanages in Uganda. Orphans for Christ in Africa (OCA) is an indigenous non-denominational Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), duly registered in Uganda by the Non-Governmental Organizations Board (NGO Board), registration No. S.5914/6206, under Uganda's Ministry of Internal Affairs, and duly incorporated at the Uganda Registrar General of Companies in Kampala, as a Company Limited by Guarantee without Share Capital, No. 83020, for the purpose of providing holistic care and support to HIV/AIDS orphans, vulnerable disadvantaged children and youth and their communities in Uganda.

The Grace of God Orphanage was founded by a 21 year old Malawian man who heard the call of God to take care of African orphans and widows. It has been three years and he has had no support except what God has provided. The orphanage is currently being built and right now all the orphans live with neighbors, relatives, etc. They are not supported or fed or taken care of. Their caretakers cannot even provided for themselves. There are about 150 orphans (two of which I am adopting) in this ministry.

Christ Cares Children's Centre gives hope to the African orphans and the needy kids from the slums of Nairobi and Rongai in Kenya. We care for orphans by providing for their needs. We have saved some from the jaws of death and from falling through the cracks. Apart from providing their basic needs, we are teaching them how to do simple tasks. I have seen them spend cold nights without a cover. Spend days with empty stomachs, and I have seen them cry. GIDCCO Uganda is an independent, indigenous Community based Organization providing education, and foster families for African orphans whose parents died of HIV/AIDS in Africa; and also supporting foster families and widows of AIDS victims through counseling, material support and school dues.

  Cyorf Foundation for Community Development strives to transform the lives of African orphans and widows providing a restoration of hope to enable them to overcome poverty, disease, and other causes of human suffering.

World Champion Missions helping 43 African orphans.  Since World Champion Missions started taking in children we have had numberless orphans coming in for help until we have no place to accommodate them.  Many orphans were sent away feeling hopeless because we have limited means of helping.

Amazing Grace Orphanage  There are approximately 30 African children living at Amazing Grace Orphanage in Adjumani, Uganda.

THE HISANI PROGRAM is helping 90 African orphans, thirty eight of whom live in the orphanage.   Hisani provides orphaned and abandoned children with their basic rights.

AIM for RESTORATION OF HOPE  was formed in 2000 with a mission to offer Vocational Training for Teenage Orphans and help others go back to formal education.

   Bethel Orphanage, Zambia is a charitable organization among Christian charities caring for African orphans in Zambia. HIV/AIDS in Africa has increased the burdens of child charity organizations like Bethel Orphanage that help children orphaned from poor families. Orphanages have a challenge of keeping up with the growing numbers of orphans.

 

Generosity International Life Care Development Coalition  is helping African orphans in JINJA-UGANDA

Sembabule Community  Based Development  Organization (SECOBADO)  brings you face to face with the neglected children in this remote area where the big organizations have never thought to reach.  SECOBADO is working to save African orphans and abandoned children. The prevalence of HIV/AIDS, lack of education, poverty, and poor feeding leaves the these orphans vulnerable and crying for some one's attention.

  Ushindi Life Ministries  runs two children's homes with over 180 African orphans. These African children are so happy because they are well taken care of by a loving staff of caregivers.  Ushindi Life Ministries places a lot of emphasis on the education of these children.

   Christian Vision Ministries  has started to collect groups of African children and serve them by providing medicine, good nutrition, clothing, soap, and bathing basins.

  By Grace Disabled and Orphans Centre, supported by Bright Future Foundation, is based outside of Nairobi Kenya at the heart of the sprawling Kayole estate in Embakasi Division.  Volunteers at By Grace Disabled and Orphans Centre are caring for African orphans between the ages of 2 and 17 years old.

  LIVING WATER GROUP CENTRE was formed in 2000 and legally registered as self help group to help needy African children especially those who were infected by HIV/AIDS.

Manna Ministries Kenya loans $100 to $280 USD to African widows to help set them up in a business. The loan has to be paid back in 6 to 8 months and then it is loaned to another African widow.

Tsige Taddess Orphanage Center is home to 106 African orphans, two of which are handicap.  It is the vision of Tsige Taddess Orphanage Center to help African orphaned and abandoned children.  Sponsor an orphan and help them fight poverty and hunger.
