Destiny Children Organization (DESCO)

Destiny Children organization, (DESCO) is a child sponsorship organization. It came into being on the 19th February 2005. Our main focus is to help children in their spiritual life and child care in the areas of Education, Health, and Nutrition. Our organization is presently working with children in Bo, Regent village and Freetown .

African orphans

As a non-profit making advocacy instrument that develop and implement projects that can help and alleviate the suffering of children in our beloved country Sierra Leone. It was observed the amount of children loitering in the street, either involved in begging, stealing or hawking scanty items, instead of being placed in school.

Rev. jerry Makaya the founder and others realized that if nothing is done to address the dismal plight of these children, in the end they would become a social treat to their communities and society. it was against this background that Destiny Children Organization (DESCO) was formed and established.

Vision: Giving children a little help and a little hope.

Mission Statement: Reaching out to children, prepare, equip and empower them for the future.
