An Aglow missions trip to Uganda November 1, 2008-November 15, 2008 visited Bethel Healing Orphanage.

This is Bethel Healing Orphanage in Mbale, Uganda. Twenty-four children live here while the leader visits 20+ more children as well, trying to help them. This lady has raised children in orphanages for many years and has a great heart for the children. This is one of the poorest orphanages we visited while in Uganda, because they struggle to have enough food for the children. Most days, these children get to eat only every other day, a bowl of rice. The orphanange rents the property and there is no ground for planting. They sang for us and were very gracious in welcoming us in our visit. The children in the background are wanting to belong and participate as well, although they are not part of this orphanage. We took these children chewable children’s vitamins, books, and Bibles. We included the children watching with our gifts also.
Hibbing Hospital ICU unit, in Hibbing Minnesota, is collecting money through December 20, 2008 to send Bethel Healing Orphanage this Christmas for food. Imelda, the lady in charge of this orphanage, emails that the children are praying a blessing for us and will write us a thank you letter for our Christmas gift for food. The money will go directly to the orphanage.
