The Grace of God orphanage was founded by a 21 year old Malawian man who heard the call of God to take care of orphans and widows. It has been three years and he has had no support except what God has provided. The orphanage is currently being built and right now all the orphans live with neighbors, relatives, etc.  Their caretakers cannot even provided for themselves. There are about 150 orphans  in this ministry. The children walk to school around 7am every morning and stay until 6 pm. They are fed three meals a day (by the money God provides) so that when they go back home they may just go to sleep. These are children who range from ages 3 to 17. With a school education, these children will be able to have a future. They will be allowed to get jobs and support themselves. In Malawi, if you do not have an education, you cannot even work the lowest of all jobs. We are currently in the process of building the orphanage. We hope to build this orphanage before the rainy season comes along (end of November). These children are amazing. With or without food, they praise their Father in Heaven. My name is Kristie and I am 21 years old. I have been blessed to be a part of this ministry. About three years ago, I met the founder of this orphanage in Malawi. He had no provision except from God. I went back to visit him this past summer and because of my church (Grace Fellowship located in Waipio, O'ahu) these children have been able to eat three meals a day, have new school books , clothes, etc. It was a miracle. this was a life changing moment in my life.
