Most Ugandans are in similar difficulties of life like: disease, war,
malnutrition, poverty and poor health. So, Aim for Restoration Of Hope aims to
serve the Rural and urban communities indiscriminately.

Communities in Busoga region are people with thousands of children both
orphans and needy. Most of the people in communities we operate from are
peasants; they can just grow food for consumption. They are below the poverty
line and only 30% are literate.

Aim for Restoration of Hope-Uganda is a registered Christian charitable
organization dedicated to sowing the seeds of love to the less privileged
through, educational, health and socio-economic approaches.
An overview of how HIV/AIDS has affected the
African children.
In Uganda, the number of African children that have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS alone
is estimated at 1.2 million children. However, some other African children have been
orphaned due to the political turmoil causing war and other diseases like Ebola,
cholera, which makes up a total of Two million orphans.

Generally, orphans in my community live in a very miserable state. When the
parents have died, a child is taken to live with relatives. These relatives
already have large extended families and most of these families live below the
poverty line. Such a child suffers discrimination, torture, and poor education.
These children are exposed to all forms of child abuse including child labor,
sexual abuse including rape and defilement which forces most of them to run to
the streets and early marriages.
Uganda’s definition of an orphan is; a child who has lost one or both
parents. There is no difference shown as far as treatment of orphans in Uganda
is concerned as long as a child is below 18 years, he/she is considered an
orphan regardless of Gender. In Uganda, it is not easy to know the HIV status of
a child due to the fact that there is no blood testing for children. However, if
a child shows signs of Aids/HIV, we still care for the child equally.

The greatest areas of need include:
Education
Empowering them with life skills
Clothing
Shelter
Food, water
Medical health Care.
Main Strategy
This project is a direct response to the children orphaned as a result of
HIV/AIDS and those that have no home and shelter.
In an effort to increase on the welfare and improved health, wellbeing of
these children we plan to work hand in hand with other different organization to
reach and support orphaned children.
Our objectives is:
1. To see 1000 children fostered or give shelter within the extended
family ,organizational homes and other functional families in the next ten
years.
2. To improve the general livelihood of children in the school capacity
