The prevalence of HIV/AIDS, lack of education, poverty, and poor feeding leaves the mentioned vulnerable crying for some one's attention.   As you continue to read you will not ask who we are, where we are, our mission, objectives/activities, what we have done, how you may intervene and volunteer with us.

Who we are

Sembabule Community  Based Development  Organization (SECOBADO) operates in Sembabule District in the Republic of UGANDA EAST AFRICA. It was established in 2003 and registered with the local government at the district with the mission to  Alleviate Human Suffering Caused by Natural ,artificial Disasters and Low Economic Status in the Communities to Avail God's Care Through Human Agencies.   The Organization is founded in Mateete, sub-county, Mawogola County, Sembabule District. It is in west of capital city of Uganda Kampala a journey of 108 miles   Objectives/ activities Sensitizing the Community on dangers of STI/HIV/AIDS Sensitizing and promoting Family planning   Support and involve in prevention and health activities   Sensitize the Community about poverty alleviation   Conducting  seminars to ensure environment protection to reduce pollution Door  to door care service in Community   Advocating for the Elderly, disabled, orphans, Babies with poor mothers, Isolated children and unfortunates Providing educational support to the poor of poorest

promoting environment protection   The Problem The organization realized the need of the aged of both sexes who are left with helpless children with out support. The deceased, during their life time, sold their property to prolong their life span and left nothing behind to sustain their children. However, some children are abandoned by careless mothers and fathers who produce them and  damp them at the Police stations, churches and in pits hence SECOBADO stands to rescue them.   What have we done Kind women and few men arose and registered them as a CBO in which they can volunteer and care for them. This group has built two primary schools as you see them in Pictures, one secondary school and one medical clinic with support from our members we have managed to pay fees for some orphans in both primary and secondary schools.   Why you can intervene Support the orphans by: Warmth:  Orphans have no clothes and Blankets to cover themselves, they go half-naked in the day and sleep in corners in the night   HIV/AIDS Prevention: Blood test equipments, Modules, seminars  and other facilitation are the first promised items to the orphans   Babies Home: Many babies are motherless because of HIV/AIDS and result of prostitution. A number of Babies are abandoned in towns and Villages. Un wanted Children from irresponsible homes are roaming every where. This calls our attention to have a home for them Intervene Volunteers/Placements to any mentioned activities   Support any of the activities mentioned   One dollar to feed an Elderly or an Orphan a day   20 dollars to sponsor an orphan in a primary school or 60 dollars for boarder   45 dollars to sponsor an orphan in a secondary school or 110 dollars for boarder   4 dollars to cover an  orphan with a blanket or clothes   Help to open up a Babies' Home   Help to buy the Chairs and Desks for the School where children sit   Thank you for offering your time and read this page be blessed     Contacts Miss Kuteesa Racheal SECOBADO P.O.
