SOCIO ECONOMIC AND EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY (SEEDS) a volunteer,
non-profit organization, ESTABLISHED IN 1989.
SEEDS recognizes the need and the development of poor communities, and to
improve health and hygiene factors. The founder, Tracy Babu Bontha, is also the
President and Chairperson. He has dedicated his life to improving the live of
the lower caste and the down trodden in India, especially in A P state. He
established an international non-profit organization focused on helping others
of all sectors and strengthening the communities at the village level.
Branches of the Society are administered almost completely by volunteers,
allowing income over expenses to be used in furthering the Society's aims and
objectives. The volunteer aspect of the organization provides many opportunities
for members to contribute their time and talents for the benefit of others, and
often to learn new and valuable skills in the process. The volunteer spirit of
the Society extends to instruction in SEEDS, which is provided by accredited
volunteer instructors.
Improve, recover and maintain health
People of all ages can learn the gentle turning and stretching movements of
SEEDS and can be adopted to match any level of ability. Whatever one's state of
health, SC, ST, BC Communities offers an effective way to maintain, improve or
recover health and their status in the economy and the literal aspects.
We offer classes at our own centers, at local community centers and other public
facilities. Branches of the SEEDS Society offer special classes for Senior
Citizens, and many have a Golden Age Division dedicated especially to improving
the health of seniors.
Through these classes, thousands of people have found the gentle movements of
Literacy and Yoga to be an effective therapy for a wide range of health
problems, including poor circulation, high blood pressure, arthritis, back pain,
breathing difficulties, and digestive and nervous disorders.
The Society also operates a Health Recovery Centre which provides an opportunity
for those with significant health problems to improve their health, through a
program of focused and intensive practice Yoga in a supportive, calm and healthy
environment.
Service in the Community
Members of the SEEDS Society also contribute many hours of their service in
their communities. We have supported relief efforts for major disasters and
assist other charities whenever possible.
The Society has conducted fundraising campaigns for Senior Citizens' homes,
Cyclone relief programs, and other with charities. In addition, volunteer
instructors teach classes in nursing homes, and for special needs groups such as
the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Red Cross, Lions, Rotary and the Leprosy
Mission.
Trained Volunteer Instructors AIDS
In keeping with the aims of the Society from the AIDS, all instructors are
volunteers will be given the Training, for the Monitors and the Leaders of the
Society in the Rural level and the Core part of the Society. The well Trained
and the Team Leaders will get the knowledge through attendance at regular
classes and workshops. For the student, being taught by a volunteer means
receiving attention that is motivated by enthusiasm and belief in the benefits
of the art.
To ensure the same quality of instruction and consistency of purpose at all
locations, meetings and workshops are frequently conducted at all levels of the
organization. Members enjoy the fact that they can visit or transfer to any
SEEDS location and find the same style and quality of instruction, as well as
the same friendly atmosphere and charitable orientation.
