Orphans’ International Helpline (OIH) is a 501(c)3 non-profit
charitable organization registered in the state of Michigan. It is created to
minister to the physical and spiritual needs of destitute children and orphans
around the world. As a Christian relief and development organization, OIH has
dedicated itself to go throughout the underdeveloped countries around the world,
round up the abandoned children and orphans aged 5-12 and bring them to our
designated center where with God’s help, we provide all the necessary needs for
these children. Having the purpose of helping children worldwide to reach
their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty, this organization is
geared toward raising money to benefit thousands of orphaned and abandoned
children in need of education, food, clothes, shelter, and provide medical
assistance in underdeveloped, neglected, and deserted areas of the world.
There are almost 3 billion people in the world and
nearly half the world’s population are dying because of lack of food.
Six-million children under the age of 5 die as a result of hunger and malnutrition every year (UNICEF). More than 78
percent of the developing world's urban population now lives in slums (UN -
Habitat). Orphans International Helpline feeding program continues to bring
hope to more than a thousand orphans and abandoned children who are vulnerable
of dying without food.
Our feeding program is one of our largest outreach activities as we provide
meals three times a day for the children living in the most neglected and
desolate areas around the world.
OIH has dedicated itself to care for the needy and to come to
the relief of those suffering from starvation. Our main calling from God is
found in Isaiah 58: 10, 11 where it says, “if you spend yourselves in behalf of
the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in
the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The LORD will guide
you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will
strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring
whose waters never fail.” In response to this calling, OIH provides the word of
God, food, clothing, shelter, educational, medical and agricultural programs to
thousands of orphans in underdeveloped areas of the world: Starting with Haiti.
